In the beginning
March 4, 1995 at The Ritz in Charlotte, NC. Taking photos of Jackyl & Slaughter sparked my love for concert photography.
The best of times
Between 1995 and 2001 I was lucky enough to shoot many great musicians. Many are still touring and some are no longer with us. I have so many wonderful memories, it was the best of times. Although I've shot at various venues, I will always appreciate the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC as they allowed me to photograph so many bands at their venue.
Last concert photo
March 22, 2001 Sepultura performed at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC. The show was amazing! 2 seconds after I took this photo, Derrick Green stage dove right over my head. It was thrilling, but I left the pit immediately afterward. I'll always remember it as the last concert photo I took because 20 days later I gave birth to my firstborn and put my 35mm camera to rest.
Time passes.... who is next?
Time marches on, am I right? I came out from under my rock in 2025 and began attending concerts again. I've been to 3 great shows: Insane Clown Posse, Stevie Nicks and Ghost. I've had great seats at all the shows, but nothing compares to being in front of the barricade taking pictures. I have the itch to take more concert photos AND an EYE4ENTERTAINMENT ....... Who will be NEXT?
